Birthday Party Hours

Saturday: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm    OR    1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

To request your party date, please fill out the request form below. We will make every effort to accommodate your request for a specific date, but we cannot guarantee the date/time will be available. Please note that we will not accept payment until your date and time are confirmed. A North Dakota’s Gateway to Science staff member will contact you by email to confirm details for your requested party.

Birthday Party Details

Birthday Parties are for children turning ages 1-12.

Party Includes:

• A private room to host a birthday party.
• The room is reserved for 2 hours.
• The room will be set to capacity. Max capacity of the room is 20.
• GALLEY ADMISSION IS NOT INCLUDED
• If you want your guests to visit the gallery during the party time, admission MUST be paid at the front desk before entering the gallery. Standard admission and membership rates apply.
• While in the gallery, host parents are in charge of supervising the children AT ALL TIMES.
• T-shirt for the birthday child.
• Party favor for the birthday child and up to 10 guests. If additional favors are needed, they can be purchased at the front desk for $1 each.
• Birthday party MUST begin and end in the room.
• Depending on availability, both rooms can be rented for double the price. Max capacity of the two rooms combined is 40.

One room: Members: $90           Non-members: $120

Two rooms: Members: $180       Non-members: $240

Reservations

• Parties may only be held during the Birthday Party hours noted.
• Requests must be made at least 14 days prior to the date of the party. Earlier notice is recommended for the best availability. In order to hold your date, full payment is required when your party date is confirmed.

What to Bring

• Please provide your own decorations, food, drinks (no red dye drinks), and paper supplies. We encourage you to consider food and drink that is available in single-serve portions.
• No glitter, confetti, silly string, or live-flame candles are allowed.

Clean-Up

• We ask that you assist with the clean up of the party room.

Arrival and Departure

• It is important that you arrive on time for your reservation. Your room will be open for you to set up and decorate 15 minutes before your scheduled reservation time.
• Maximum room reservation time is 2 hours for each party. Please ask your guests to arrive at or after the start of your reservation and depart prior to the end of your reservation time. Clean-up and removal of all personal items should also occur prior to the end of your reservation time.
• The party MUST begin and end in the party room.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

• If you must cancel, please do so at least one week before your scheduled date to receive a refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee.
• To reschedule, a $15 processing fee will be charged.
