Butterfly Exhibit at Gateway to Science Visitors to Gateway to Science can once again experience the beauty, grace and enchantment of the Painted Lady butterfly. Each year the arrival of heart visitors. And each year we wait for the weather to be warm enough so the larvae won’t freeze during shipping.

The first batch of larvae arrived in late April, formed chrysalis and emerged as beautiful Painted Lady butterflies. Now we are waiting for them to lay eggs, continuing the amazing life cycle. We invite you to stop in to the gallery and enjoy the sunshine of our rotunda while visiting our Butterfly Exhibit.

Gateway to Science thanks Forest & Joan Durow for their sponsorship of the Butterfly Exhibit.
